I have a use Canon camera and I want to find the age of the camera by the serial number. The serial number is a combination of numbers and/or letters, without spaces or special characters. Please ignore any numbers or letters that appear in brackets. The serial number for your EOS camera will generally be 12 digits long, however for some older models the serial number may be 6 or 10 digits long. Is it possible to know the 'age' of a camera by looking at its serial number? Is there a working method similar to the code found on lenses?
